Recent studies have discovered a correlation between people who are obese and people with poor circulation. As such, it is important that you take care of and make sure that you manage your weight accordingly.
- Eat Food that Help Improve Circulation
Outside of managing your weight, it is also recommended that you adjust your diet to regularly include food items that can help improve circulation. Certain studies have come to recommend a Mediterranean diet filled with fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids, nuts, and seed oil as the best way of fixing circulatory problems.
As an extra tip, you can also try drinking tea, which is filled with healthy antioxidants that have been known to improve circulation. For this, you’ll want to drink either black or green tea.
- Be Mindful of Your Iron Levels
Another connection can be drawn between one’s iron levels and circulation. Iron is required in order to make hemoglobin, which is one of the major components of red blood cells — which carries oxygen through the bloodstream.
If you have poor iron levels, then your circulatory system will suffer because of it! As such, if you want to make sure that your circulatory system is healthy, you will need to either eat foods rich in protein (such as red meat) or take iron supplements as needed.
